Tripowin TC-01/BLON BL-01/Kinera Bd005 Pro First Impression
A bit late considering this has been the 9th of Jan but oh well: Happy New Year.
New me, new place to live and with that, comes with new IEMs to talk about. I have been holding on receiving review units while I was in Vietnam due to the COVID 19 situation but now since I have settled in Japan (and will be at least for a while). It's time for me to get back onto the writing desk.
Since these IEMs came to me around the same day, I figured out I should just write my first impression about these fellas in one go. Detailed review for these IEMs will be avaliable in the upcoming weeks. I have my only final test to deal with first.
Before going into the post, if you are new, please read this before having any comments regarding my writing or point of view.
Tripowin TC-01:

- Price: 50$
- Purchase link: https://www.linsoul.com/products/tripowin-tc-01
The Tripowin TC-01 was kindly provided by Linsoul in exchange for my honest review
First impression:
- Quite pleasant to listen due to the bass/midrange contrast but there are some oddities
- Not the worst bass I have ever heard though not really outstanding either. Sounds boomy
- Not sure if I like the midrange here, it sounds a bit wonky the more I try to listen.
- Treble lacks air, though relatively speaking it doesn't sound entirely dead.
BLON BL-01:
Information:
- Driver: 1DD
- Price: 23$
- Purchase link: https://www.linsoul.com/products/blon-bl01
The BLON BL-01 was kindly provided by Linsoul in exchange for my honest review
First impression:
- Bassy, probably too much for my taste. Not really something I would be offended tho.
- Except from the excessive warmth, the midrange is fine, I would prefer this over the BL-03 actually
- Treble is a lost cause here, both due to the roll off and the bass offsetting it's presense
- Not really a bad set despite my criticism though. I mean... it's 23$
Kinera BD005 Pro:
Information:
- Driver: 1DD + 1BA
- Price: 50$
- Purchase link: https://hifigo.com/products/kinera-bd005-pro-3d-printed-hybrid-in-ear-earphone
The Kinera BD005 Pro was kindly provided by HifiGo in exchange for my honest review
First impression:
- Timbre. The BD005 Pro is noticably plasticky in the midrange
- Same impression on the treble like the BL-01, though the reason is slightly different.
- This is definitely a mid-bass centric IEM to my ears though the graph is obviously telling this out already.
- The midrange tonality is not bad, maybe a little bit more forward on the upper midrange to round it up but that's ok.
